Chelan High School Principal Brad Wilson will be the new superintendent of the Lake Chelan School District.

Wilson has led the school for the past six years, and was named this year's state High School Principal of the year by the Association of Washington School Principals.

He will replace Barry DePaoli who is retiring at the end of June.

Wilson was a finalist for the position, along with Mount Si High School Principal John Belcher.

The district says it should quickly have a contract negotiated with Wilson, which is expected to be approved by the school board at its April 12 meeting.
