Moses Lake K9 Jester is being credited with finding a burglary suspect who allegedly broke into the Commercial Tire store east of Moses Lake on North Frontage Road early Sunday morning.

Joe Kriete with the Grant County Sheriff's Office said deputies discovered a hole cut into the back fence of the business. Jester then allegedly found 41-year-old Robles Mejia of Othello inside Commercial Tire hiding in a stack of tires.

"It appears that he was trying to cut a catalytic converter from a school bus that was parked in that bullpen area." detailed Kriete, "They did locate a saw on the ground and some other tools, but there was no damage done to the school bus."

Mejia was booked into the Grant County Jail on 2nd degree burglary, attempted theft, and malicious mischief.
