Moses Lake Woman Released From Jail, Commits Burglary and Assault Soon After, Arrested Again

A Moses Lake woman is back behind bars after being released from jail last Wednesday, only to assault her ex-girlfriend hours later.

Our news partner iFIBER ONE reports Cassandra Calderon Ozuna was re-arrested at a home on Miller Street Northeast.

Moses Lake police received a tip Calderon Ozuna was at the home. When police arrived, Calderon Ozuna's "family or friends" were physically holding her to keep her from leaving, according to Moses Lake police.

She was previously jailed following a Sunday night assault of a Moses Lake police officer.

After being released from jail Wednesday, Calderon Ozuna allegedly forced her way inside of an East Seventh Avenue home and assaulted and choked her ex-girlfriend. The victim reportedly wrestled a knife away from Calderon Ozuna, sustaining minor cuts to her hand.

Calderon Ozuna then allegedly stole the victim’s car and left the residence before police arrived.

Calderon Ozuna was booked into Grant County Jail for second-degree assault-domestic violence, first-degree burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
