Washington State University's tree fruit extension programs are coordinating the annual Tree Fruit Days in North Central Washington on January 20, 27, 28 and 29 and February 11 this year. The first Tree Fruit Day, the 20th, is in Chelan, then in Wenatchee through the 27-29th and on Feb. 11th, the event will be in Omak.

"This is a really important event because it provides the latest research based information on horticulture and pest and disease management for our tree fruit producers," said Tianna DuPont, organizer.

Not only will the five day event provide education for tree fruit producers and industry professionals, but for the second year there is a networking opportunity for the Wenatchee dates. Registration is open for folks interested in attending a networking lunch one of the three dates, Jan. 27-29.

"We hope folks come not only to learn great information, but also to network with their neighbors," said DuPont.

Co-sponsors include Northwest Cherries, Pear Bureau Northwest, NCW Fieldmen’s Association, and the Chelan Future Farmer's of America.
