Prom Dress Giveaway Returning to Wenatchee for First Time Since 2019

The Women's Service League of NCW is holding its annual Prom Dress Giveaway this Saturday and Sunday at Wenatchee High School.

It's free and open to all high school students, who'll need to show a Student ID to be admitted.

The last Prom Dress Giveaway was held in 2019 when the organization says more than 300 girls from around the North Central Washington received a prom dress.

The Women's Service League of NCW serves the needs homeless women & children in the region.

WSL says its members have collected over a thousand new or gently used prom dresses, while local businesses Bella Sera and Sweetheart Bridal & Prom have donated hundreds new dresses and shoes valued at thousands of dollars.

Local seamstresses will be on site to do minor adjustments to hems and straps, and WSL members are available tol help girls pick out a prom dress.

Dresses are available in various, sizes, colors, & styles. Shoes and jewelry are also being offered.

NCW says it will be raffling off donated items from local community businesses as well - such as dinners, photos, flowers and accessories.

The Prom Dress Giveaway takes place:

Saturday, April 23 from 10 am - 4 pm

Sunday, April 24 from 10 am - 2 pm
