Quincy Police Searching for Car Thief

The Quincy Police Department is looking to the public for help in identifying a suspected car thief that struck Thursday morning around 9:30 am at The Jackpot Food Mart.

Captain Ryan Green said a patron left her 2010 BMW running while she went inside of the store, only to discover the car gone a short time later.

"The officers pulled some video surveillance from inside and outside of the store." explained Green, "They were able to determine that a subject, who appeared to be a Hispanic male, purchased some items in the store and then walked out, got into the car and drove away."

The car has since been recovered a couple miles outside of Quincy.
