The Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team along with Royal City Police, Quincy Police, Grant County Sheriff's deputies, and the regional Tactical Response Team served a warrant in the 100 block of Fern Street NW in Royal City around 6:00 am Thursday.

Detectives were following up on information they received about drug trafficking in the area. 42-year-old Luis Alcala-Ochoa of Royal City was arrested after investigators found 10 pounds of marijuana, methamphetamine, and a stolen hand gun.

Grant County Sheriff's PIO Kyle Foreman said, "Investigators will continue to look into this case to find out if there is any other people who are participating in the drug trafficking in the Royal City area."

Alcala-Ochoa was booked into the Grant County Jail on drug and firearms charges. Detectives are also asking prosecutors to add an enhancement for intending to deal drugs within 1,000 feet of a school bus stop.
