Shop Destroyed in Chelan Area After Early Morning Fire
Chelan Fire and Rescue was called out to a structure fire a little after 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Lt. Tyee Zacher says the blaze was on Washington Creek Road.
"When we got there, it was about a 36X36 foot that was completely burned to the ground. [There were] multiple vehicle exposures nearby. We were able to protect the exposures, but the shop was a complete loss."
No one was in danger, and the shop was the only loss.
Zacher says they were in a defensive position from the start and worked to contain it.
The cause is under investigation.
