28-year-old Daniel Alfredo Coreas Jr. of Soap Lake was sentenced by a federal judge to seven years in jail after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine.

Coreas Jr. was arrested in June of last year by the Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team, or INET, and was found with more than 18 grams of meth and multiple rounds of ammunition.

U.S. Attorney William Hyslop says they are, "committed to prosecuting aggressively and seeking appropriate punishment for drug traffickers."

Coreas Jr. will be under court supervision for four years after release.
