A two semi truck collision occurred Monday morning on Interstate 90 near exit 53, Snoqualmie Summit, and caused right lanes to be temporarily blocked. The semi trucks were both heading eastbound a little before 6:30 when the collision occurred.

According to Washington State Trooper John Bryant, both semis lost control and ran into each other.

"Both semis ended up jack kniving the end of the semi. The cab of the semi and the trailer were kind of switched over like a knife when you're pulling out a blade," said Trooper Bryant.

One semi blocked a lane while the other semi went into a ditch, turned around facing the other direction and both became stuck. One semi is empty and one is loaded which makes the process to pull it out more lengthy. Tows were enroute as of 8:30 a.m.  All lanes are back open until the tows arrive which will cause all eastbound lanes to be temporarily shut down.

Trooper Bryant reported no injuries. The roadway had some slush and ice, but 'definitely drivable', according to Trooper Bryant. Both semis were reportedly driving too fast for conditions.
