WDFW Seeks Public Comment on Recreational & Commercial Fishing Rules
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is accepting public input on proposed rules for this year's recreational and commercial salmon fishing seasons.
State, federal and tribal fishery managers have been collaborating over the span of multiple months to plan recreational and commercial salmon fisheries. The process includes public comment and public meetings, however given the COVID-19 circumstances, the meetings have been offered virtually. The public can submit comments online here, by email to Rules.Coordinator@dfw.wa.gov or by mail to WDFW Rules Coordinator: P.O. Box 43200, Olympia, WA 98504-3200.
A public hearing will also take place, either in a webinar or conference call format, on June 9 at 9 a.m. and public comment will be taken then as well.
