The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce is offering businesses an opportunity to weigh in on the COVID-19 economic impact via survey until Friday.

A similar survey measuring the impact was offered in March and April, however this is the second opportunity for businesses.

"It allows us to see what industries are most affected, what size businesses are most affected," said Sasha Sleiman, government affairs director.

The survey has prompts such as how much revenue is projected to have been lost due to the pandemic or how long can a business remain temporarily shuttered before buckling and closing permanently. The chamber used the first survey to convey urgency to state legislators for funding and aid, this survey will serve as an update.

"That's why we're re-doing the survey again, because we want to get updated information so that as our legislature goes into special session...if they do go into special session in August, we want to have a good snapshot of the economic crisis we have here so they understand what we need," said Sleiman.

The survey can be found here.
