Wenatchee Internet Academy Expanding Learning Experiences
The Wenatchee Internet Academy will be offering more experiences beyond the classroom for K-8 this school year.
Communications Manager Diana Haglund says there will be quarterly field experiences, a road school where students learn about careers, and access to the AVID program.
"It really enriches the learning opportunities for our students to think beyond the virtual instruction. It's a great opportunity for our staff to showcase what they know and make it accessible for students."
Haglund says they learned a lot last year.
"It will really enhance the current online curriculum that they have, really leaning into experiences that happen out in the community and out in the field."
All the additions will be virtual, but outside of the normal online classroom environment.

Registration is now open for current WSD students and students from outside of the district through August 16.
