Wenatchee Men Caught for An Alleged Home Burglary

Two Wenatchee men were arrested on Thanksgiving after the homeowner and a neighbor reported the suspects breaking into a Wenatchee home. Richard Summers, 36, and Abel Jackson, 45, were booked into the Chelan County jail for one count of residential burglary. Jackson was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance as well.

According to Wenatchee Police Captain Brian Chance, the homeowner initially reached out Wednesday to report his residence on the 1800 block of Fifth Street had been entered and items were missing.

"The following day a suspicious vehicle pulled back up to the residence and was reported by a neighbor," said Captain Chance.

Officers responded and contacted the two individuals that were detained. Through an investigation and assistance from the homeowner, officers confirmed items were missing from the residence.
