Wenatchee School District Offers Full Time Virtual Option

For the upcoming fall, Wenatchee School District is adapting to the current circumstances and offering parents a virtual learning option, Wenatchee Internet Academy (WIA). The online school, part of WSD's Smart Restart for the upcoming school year, would serve as a full time virtual classroom with a certificated WSD teacher.

"It's a really great option who are looking to continue their students' learning online," said Diana Haglund, communications director. "Maybe they're concerned about or perhaps their child just thrives in that online learning environment."

Enrollment is open via the district's website. WIA is also available to any student both in and out of Wenatchee School District.

"So we really opened the door for virtual learning to the entire Valley," said Haglund.

The online academy is one of two instructional options with the other being in-person for elementary and hybrid for middle school and high school students.
