Wenatchee Valley College Foundation Selects Jaime Ramirez as Distinguished Alumni of 2020

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation has chosen Jaime Ramirez as the Distinguished Alumni of 2020 and will be recognized Thursday at 7 p.m. via virtual ceremony.

"Typically, we look for is someone who distinguished themselves in their professional field, made contributions to their communities and demonstrated integrity in their personal life and gaining the respect of their peers," said Rachel Evey, executive director.

Ramirez is the first from his family to graduate college and is a teacher at Cascade Elementary School in East Wenatchee.

"It's not just his interactions with his students and how he's an example of a first generation student and the successful career he's had, but he volunteers in his school community," said Evey.
