A woman who had thrown rocks from an Interstate 90 overpass in Moses Lake at vehicles in April pleaded guilty in Grant County Superior Court to two counts of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon. According to our news partner, iFiberone, Christine L. Bechyne, 51, was sentenced to 15 months in prison and after her sentence, will be under supervised release for 18 months. After multiple reports of a woman on the Peninsula Drive overpass throwing rocks at traveling vehicles, Bechyne was arrested April 9. Two vehicles were damaged as a result of her throwing rocks, a windshield was broken out of a semi truck and a passenger car. Bechyne was initially found incompetent to stand trial in July and was ordered to undergo treatment. She was found competent following her treatment at Eastern State Hospital.
