Wenatchee's Executive Services Director Allison Williams will be leaving her post on December 23rd ahead of taking a new job as the Moses Lake City Manager in January 27th.

Williams says the opportunity came up at the right time both personally as they had sold their house to downsize with the kids gone, and professionally.

"It provided me the opportunity to take the next step in a council-manager form of government, so I will be the city manager. When I went through the interview process, I was thoroughly excited because of the engagement of the citizens there and what they want to have happen with their community."

Williams says she's seen Wenatchee's complexion change a lot and she's most proud of bringing new life to the Federal Building, the vibrant downtown, and the developing waterfront among others.

The current Executive Services Director in Wenatchee says her job will be to listen to the residents and try to fulfill their plans for the city.

"What I heard when I was there is that there is a desire to set a vision for Moses Lake. They have a lot of work around land use planning and they really are excited about having someone with my background and the visioning that we've done with the City of Wenatchee and what we've had happened along our waterfront and our downtown."

There will be a celebration of Williams' time with the city of Wenatchee on December 23rd from 3-5 p.m. at City Hall.
