Congresswoman Kim Schrier and State Party Chair Tina Podlodowski will speak the annual Chelan-Douglas Democratic Dinner, November 9th.

Executive Board Member Frances Titus explained that although Schrier and Podlodowski will be guests at the event, their time will be short to keep the focus on others.

"This is not really a rally. This is a dinner." said Titus, "There will people honored for what they've done currently or in the past. There will be introductions. It's just a nice event. A nice get-together."

All proceeds will support local efforts in 2020 to elect Democrats, up and down the ballot.

"It's a way of keeping people involved and aware that we are a functioning organization and we have certain principles to appreciate," added Titus.

This Saturday's event is in the lower level of the Wenatchee Convention Center. The event begins with a social at 5:30 pm, with dinner and program starting at 6:30 pm.

Tickets are $60, or $30 for students, and can be purchased at the Chelan County Democrats office at 768 South Mission Street, Wenatchee.
