Car Hits Bonaventure Apartments Off Sunset Highway

A 35-year-old Wenatchee man was injured and transported to Central Washington Hospital after his 2004 Honda Odyssey left the Sunset Highway and hit the Bonaventure Apartment Building early Friday morning.

The Washington State Patrol says Paulino Iglesias-Granados was driving north at a high rate of speed when he struck the curb on the right side of the roadway and overcorrected crossing the highway, striking the sidewalk and then going down a grass hill into the apartment.

No one in the building was injured.

The State Patrol is investigating the accident but does not believe drugs or alcohol are responsible.
