CCFD 1 Responds to Burning Wood Pile Early Saturday Morning

Chelan County Fire District 1 crews responded to a fire on the 600 block of Woodward Dr in Wenatchee after midnight Saturday morning.

When they arrived they discovered a wood pile was on fire.

PIO Kay McKellar says a neighbor started the attack on the blaze with a hose before crews arrived.

"Most of the pile burned and once it was nearly out the fire department finished extinguishing it. It's undetermined what started the fire."

There were no injuries and no structures were threatened.
