Chelan and Douglas County Unemployment Rates Lower than 2018 in December

The Washington State Employment Security Department released the latest county unemployment numbers Tuesday.

Chelan County had 5.2 percent unemployment in December while Douglas County had six percent, both worse than the state average, but more than a half-percent better than December of last year.

Grant County's rate was nearly nine percent.

The lowest unemployment rate in the state belonged to King County at 2.1 percent.
