Chelan County Delegates Public Information Officer Role to Jill FitzSimmons

Chelan County commissioners announced that long time public works public information officer, Jill FitzSimmons, will be expanding her role within the county and will serve as the county's spokesperson.

"For me, this just even more fun from a communications background because of the variety and different departments and issues that I'll get to work with," said Jill FitzSimmons, public information officer.

FitzSimmons noted she's already met with the county department heads as she dives into starting the new position.

"We had an opportunity to take Jill to a higher level of service for our community," said Commissioner Bob Bugert. "She's going to be doing public information for all departments within the county. We feel like we've got a lot of good information to share and there's no better person than Jill."

FitzSimmons will still manage public works' communications along with her new responsibilities.
