Members of four different emergency response agencies responded to a teenaged girl who fell down the hill off Mountain Home Road in Leavenworth Friday night.

Sheriff's Deputy Mike McLeod was part of the team and said the girl slipped off the rock near the picnic table.

"There's a big large rock right there and she was standing on top of that rock taking pictures, I don't know if she was taking selfies or if her brother was taking pictures of her, and she fell off the rock. She tumbled about 125 feet down the extremely steep embankment."

She was stopped by a burned tree.

McLeod and a medic, Brayden Kirk set up a system to ascertain and treat her injuries.

"He did the initial assessment and it was immediately obvious that he needed everything we had brought, every piece of medical equipment, down at the site. I built a second system to allow me to grab all that gear to rappel it down to him."

The two were also assisted by the High Angle Rope Rescue Team and two different Fire Departments.

The teen was taken to Central Washington Hospital, but her condition is not known.

McLeod said despite having just a few people, they had members of four agencies who worked well and quickly.
