The City of Leavenworth and Cascade School District have extended the deadline to close on the sale of the Osborn property that is owned by the District.

The City is asking to delay a potential closing date to the end of the year to allow for more community input on the future of the property after the School Board was asked about guaranteeing no development, but rather the creation of a green space or similar idea.

The original Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 2016.

The City is set to take more public input on the future of the Osborn property, though details were not announced as to when.
