The Cold Springs Canyon Fire is currently sitting at 172,000 acres with 275 firefighters assigned to the fire as of Thursday morning. Crews remain focused on the Haley Creek area, which remains at a Level 2 evacuation order, to protect structures and create containment lines.

"Firefighters will be around all areas of the fire today, working on damage assessment, as well as strengthening containment lines, mopping up around structures," said Jeff Sevigney, public information officer.

According to Sevigney, there has been multiple infrastructure damage and there are many downed power lines and other hazard. Caution is urged for those traveling in the area.

"The good news is all of the highways are open right now in and out of Omak, Highway 97," said Sevigney.

Some county roads are still closed as well as evacuation orders still in place.
