Colockum Road Structure Fire a Total Loss

Crews from Chelan County Fire District 1 and Douglas County Fire District 2 responded to a structure fire in the 7000 block of Colockum Road south of Malaga Friday around 2:00 pm.

PIO Kay McKellar stated that when units arrived, a single wide mobile home was fully engulfed.

"This particular building had been vacant for about a year." said McKellar, "It's a total loss. There was no one in or around the building."

The fire was under control by about 4:00 pm. The cause is under investigation.
