Dog Shot Wednesday in Wenatchee

Animal Care & Control are asking for any information the public may have regarding a dog that was shot Wednesday in the Wenatchee area.

Executive Director Dawn Davies said the incident happened at approximately 2:00 pm near Number One Canyon Road.

"The dog owner was home. His dog was roaming off of his property, which he realizes that he shouldn't do, but the dog came home and was shot." explained Davies, "We just don't have any other information."

The silver Weimaraner-type dog was taken to the vet where they found a through and through bullet wound, likely from a small caliber gun. The condition of the dog is unknown.
