The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Command Team is looking over recommendations after the department requested a review of its practices and standards.

Sheriff Kevin Morris said he requested a Loaned Executive Management Assistance Program (LEMAP) Review from the Washington Association of Sheriff's & Police Chiefs to get an objective, no-holds-barred assessment.

"They shared with us on their exit they were extremely impressed with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office; how it functions, how it funs." stated Morris, "They clearly identified in that exit that they struggled finding areas for what they called a 'hair on fire problem.'"

The Sheriff's Office previously ordered the review back in 2019 but it was delayed due to the pandemic.

The full LEMAP review can be found here.
