Moses Lake Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting along the 1600 block of West Broadway Avenue around 9:00 pm Friday night.

According to Detective Aaron Hintz, three people were injured when a car pulled up next to theirs, gang signs and words were exchanged, and then a suspect or suspects began shooting into the victims' vehicle.

The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital, but is said to be improving despite requiring surgery.

Two passengers were treated at Samaritan Hospital and released that night.

The police have not released the names of any of the victims, nor any potential suspects.

Five bullet casings were recovered at the scene. The incident is believed to be gang-related.
