
Freeze Warning Issued for Wenatchee Area
The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for early Tuesday morning in the Wenatchee area and Okanogan Valley, among other Washington areas. Subfreezing temperatures as low as 30 is expected and the warning is issued for 2-10 a.m the morning of October 1st. Frost and freeze conditions are expected and will kill crops and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. According to the advisory, more freezing morning temperatures are a possibility for next week.
To prevent freezing and the possibility of outdoor water pipes bursting, pipes should be wrapped, drained or allowed to drip slowly.
