The Community Foundation of North Central Washington's annual Give NCW campaign wrapped up at the end of 2020.

Executive Director Beth Stipe said it was a great year.

"Thanks to the wonderful folks in the community who stepped up and gave over $561,000 to more than 60 organizations in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan Counties. That is just amazing. It is almost $100,000 more than last year."

This was the first year that they had more than 25 non-profits that were a part of the giving tradition with grants ranging from $2,000 to $36,000.

Stipe says they were unsure how the pandemic might have impacted potential donors, but many who did give received a benefit themselves.

"I think that a lot of people who had the opportunity to make a contribution, whether it was $10 or $1,000, did so and I think that knowing that they were helping their neighbors, some who may have had it a little harder than they did this year, really made a difference in their world."

Stipe says all money donated during Give NCW goes to the chosen non-profit with CFNCW not taking any fees or anything.
