Grant County Standoff Ends in Surrender
A Grant County man is in custody after a standoff of more than three hours north of Moses Lake Thursday.
Kyle Foreman with the Grant County Sheriff's Office said deputies were responding to a domestic violence call when they saw the suspect driving away from the scene.
"Deputies initiated a pursuit." explained Foreman, "The pursuit was low speed, never getting over 60 miles per hour. The suspect then drove back to his own residence off of Road H.1 north of Moses Lake where he barricaded inside the home."
Members of the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team reportedly communicated off and on with the suspect before he broke off contact. Law enforcement used concussion grenades and tear gas to eventually drive the suspect from the home.
The suspect was arrested without incident and is likely facing multiple charges include Assault - Domestic Violence. There were no injuries.
