The Grant County Sheriff's Office is continuing their search for a suspect they believed to be barricaded in a home north of George Wednesday.

Public Information Officer Kyle Foreman said 33-year-old Francisco Javier Nunez is wanted for several felony warrants, including assault, theft and failing to register as a sex offender.

"The suspect was not found." explained Foreman, "It was a huge piece of property that had a lot of derelict buildings and vehicles on it, so it took about five hours to search the whole property. He was not there."

Nunez is 5' 6" and about 150 pounds.

The Moses Lake Tactical Response Team spent much of the afternoon and evening Wednesday searching for Nunez on a large property near Road 2 Northwest and State Route 283. A shelter in place order was issued during the search, with the order being ultimately cancelled around 9:00 pm.
