Head-On Collision on Highway 97 Results in Two to Hospital

A head-on collision Sunday morning resulted in two people being transported to Central Washington Hospital.

Orondo Fire says they responded around 7:00 a.m. to the incident on Highway 97 near Weimar Road where the two vehicles were heavily damaged.

Two patients had to be extricated from one of the vehicles and transported to Wenatchee.

The incident blocked the roadway for a short time.

No information on anyone in either vehicle nor the cause of the accident has been released.

The incident is under investigation.
