A Douglas County deputy heard a Rivercom broadcast with an attempt to locate a subject for a confirmed Department of Corrections felony warrant for escape Tuesday evening. The deputy was familiar with the subject, Victor Stevenson.

"The deputy had prior knowledge of the individual," said Sheriff Kevin Morris. "Went down in the Rock Island area where he has knowledge that he (Stevenson) has frequented. Lo and behold, he did the see the individual walk into an RV."

According to Sheriff Morris, when the deputy attempted to make contact, several other individuals denied Stevenson was there. Wenatchee Police Department, East Wenatchee Police Department and Chelan County Sheriff's office assisted in securing the area and a search warrant was obtained.

"Through some conversations, utilizing family members, they were able to convince Mr. Stevenson to come out," said Sheriff Morris.

Stevenson was placed into custody without further incident and booked into Chelan County Regional Jail on his felony warrant.
