Leavenworth to Require Masks in City Facilities

The city of Leavenworth is announcing that visitors to city hall and other city facilities will need to wear a mask.

Mayor Carl Florea said this is not something that he wanted to do, but cited increasing case rates and hospitalizations as the cause.

He is also "strongly encouraging businesses to think about doing the same."

As of Monday, Chelan County case rates had risen to 222 per 100,00 people.

Florea says the city will provide hand sanitizer and keep their surfaces clean.
