The community of Manson is invited to attend the 6th annual Manson's Night to Remember next Wednesday, October 9 at the Mill Bay Casino. The night's festivities start at 6 and will include a dessert dash, a video that features Manson's aesthetic assets and highlighting some of Manson's community members.

"We partner with the school district and we actually honor their Teacher of the Year and Student of the Year," said Debbie Conwell, director of Manson's Chamber of Commerce. A member from the faculty is selected to be honored during the evening as well.

The Chamber also partners with the Kiwanis and that entity has selected a Citizen of the Year to be recognized during the ceremony. As for the Chamber itself, the group selected a Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Most Inspirational Person of the Year.

"We also honor an entity that's not a business..a big contributor the community, but not necessarily a business or related to the school," said Conwell. "This year we're going to celebrate the American Legion since its their 100th year anniversary."

The purchase of a ticket to attend also includes a meal to pair with the ceremony and the chance to bid during the Dessert Dash.

"It's just a great night. We show a video of the community, this year the high school drone club created an amazing video of Manson with flyovers and flythroughs, they just did an extraordinary job," said Conwell. "It's just something you won't experience, seeing the community this way."
