More Than 20 Agencies Part of Mineral Springs Manhunt

The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office says they have been joined by more than 20 different local, state and federal agencies in the search for Jorge Alcantara-Gonzalez in the Mineral Springs area near Blewett Pass.

It is suspected that Gonzalez murdered 41-year-old Ian Eckles of Kent and stole his vehicle but searchers are also looking for Eckles while conducting their manhunt.

Gonzalez is considered possibly armed and dangerous and the public is asked to avoid the area.

Several forest roads have been closed as law enforcement and other agencies conduct the search.
