Moses Lake Teen in Custody After Crashing Stolen Car

A 17-year-old Moses Lake boy was arrested after attempting to flee law enforcement in a stolen car.

Moses Lake Police say the kid got into a running car at a gas station and drove off ending up at the WinCo where he drove in circles and made rude gestures to people in the parking lot with police in pursuit.

As he exited, he drove over spike strips, but attempted to continue until he crashed through a fence.

The Police Department says the teen and his older brother have been persons of interest in a string of thefts over the past couple of months.

Both are now in jail.
