Moses Lake Teen Jailed After Allegedly Posting Video of Himself with Gun

A Moses Lake teen is facing a weapons charge after detectives from the Moses Lake Police Department's Street Crimes Unit say they found an incriminating social media post.

According to the department, the 17-year-old suspect is a known gang member and was recognized in a Snapchat video with a gun.

A warrant was obtained by police, and the city's Tactical Reponses Team was used because of the juvenile's reported criminal history. He was arrested without incident at a home on A Street and a 9mm gun that was allegedly in the video was recovered from the scene.

The department says the investigation is part of their constant monitoring of social media and other platforms for evidence of criminal behavior.
