
New Unemployment Claims Slow Down in Grant County, State but Increase in Chelan and Douglas Counties
Fewer people filed their initial claim for unemployment last week in Grant County than the previous, while Douglas County and Chelan County saw slight increases.
In the three weeks leading up to April 4th, Douglas County had about 2,200 people file for unemployment.
Nearly 5,300 Chelan County residents filed.
Grant County had a little more than 4,100.
Washington saw a slight drop in first-time appliers, but over a three-week period, 481,000 new claims were filed.
