A Grant County man is in jail after allegedly firing a pistol at another car during a road rage incident on SR 17, about ten miles north of Moses Lake.

Trooper John Bryant said that on the afternoon of December 28th, 20-year Maurisio Medina Ramos was driving a black BMW passenger car when he was flipped off by the victim and allegedly fired three shots in retaliation.

"Medina Ramos was placed into custody and booked into the Grant County Jail initially on weapons brandishing." explained Bryant, "A further charge of drive by shooting was also issued to him later."

The BMW was impounded by the State Patrol, and a warrant is being issued to search the vehicle.

According to our news partner iFIBER ONE, Medina Ramos reportedly admitted to troopers that he "flashed a gun" and fired it into the air twice after he was cut off. He denied firing a shot at the victim's vehicle.
