State Patrol to Implement Emphasis Patrols as College Students Return to Campus
The Washington State Patrol will be hitting the roads for emphasis patrols starting August 12th through August 15th as college students head to campuses for fall semester. Troopers will concentrate on areas with high student traffic, including I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass and State Route 26 and 195.
"Highway 26 is the area we want to make sure the students are really paying attention," said Trooper John Bryant. "We're looking at speed and distracted driving. Get to school safely."
Trooper Bryant added state patrol is also there to provide assistance, not just clock for speeding or district driving.
