Structure Fire Claims Ephrata Home

An Ephrata home was completely destroyed by fire over the weekend.

According to Grant County Fire District 13, crews arrived to find the building in the area of Road A NW and Road 12.3 NW completely in flames. Firefighting efforts were initially hampered by the home's poor accessibility. The blaze was eventually controlled, and crews left the scene about four hours later.

No one was home at the time of the fire and the Red Cross is helping the homeowner.

The cause is under investigation.
