US 2/Ninth Street Project in Leavenworth Delayed

A project to improve curb ramps at all four corners of the intersection of US 2 and Ninth Street in Leavenworth has been delayed.

According to WSDOT, the project was originally scheduled to begin Monday, March 22 but has been delayed for several weeks because the contractor is unable to procure the necessary materials.

The project will require the closure of each corner of the intersection during the course of the project and will intermittently close sections of sidewalk around the project. It is uncertain how long the project will be delayed, but it is expected to start this spring.
