Grant County Sheriff's Deputies are hopefull that an arrest Friday morning may have finally halted a string of burglaries in the Warden area.

Items reported stolen from several properties over the last few weeks include ATVs, portable generators, and golf clubs.

Deputies initially received a tip from the public regarding an address in the 22000 block of Baseline .5 Northeast near Warden.

Grant County Sheriff's PIO Kyle Foreman said 24-year-old Triston D. Duplichan almost hit a deputy's vehicle Friday around 3:25 am as he left the compound on Baseline .5.

Duplichan was quickly pulled over. According to the Sheriff's Department, he was hauling a trailer which was found to be carrying three stolen ATVs. Deputies served a search warrant at the Baseline 0.5 compound, where they recovered another stolen ATV, generator and golf clubs.

Duplichan is facing charges including possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Deputies will continue to work to find anyone else involved. They are also looking to see if there is a connection between the the string of burglaries and the arrest of an Oregon man last week.
