The estimated population of the State of Washington now about 7,656,000.

According to the state Office of Financial Management…that's a jump of about 110,000 people or 1.5% from 2019.

Kittitas was the fastest-growing county between 2019 and 2020, with 3.4% growth, followed by Clark, Douglas, and Franklin at 2.2%.

Chelan County added 1,240 residents in the past year with most moving to the unincorporated parts of the county.

Douglas County saw 930 additional residents with most also moving to the unincorporated areas.

Grant County added 1,390 residents with most people moving to established towns or cities, the largest increases being in Moses Lake and Royal City.
