Wenatchee High School Offering Free Suicide Prevention Training
Wenatchee High School is partnering with the University of Washington's School of Social Work to provide free LEARN Suicide Prevention Training to members of the public April 28th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the auditorium.
Communications Director Diana Haglund said the in-person training is limited to 50 people and is open to anybody who has an interest in learning how to support people struggling with suicide.
"Right now as we're dealing with the stress of the pandemic, making sure that we're supporting our families and students with tools and resources related to suicide prevention is critically important." explained Haglund, "It really fits into our school district's focus on the social/emotional health and wellness of our students, staff and families."
A link to register for the event can be found on the district's website.
