Four Wenatchee High School (WHS) seniors will be presenting a case study they made after it was accepted by a national athletic trainers symposium.

WHS Sports Medicine Instructor Dale Blair says Lindsay Blakney, Nick Duke, Elyse Long and Anna Russ followed another student's struggles in dealing with the aftereffects of COVID to create their case study entitled, "Post-COVID 'Long Haulers' Syndrome in a Female Recreational Athlete."

"They compete in a blind review and they are usually competing against masters and doctoral students as well as even university professors." explained Blair, "It turns out they are the only high school students in the nation to have a case study accepted for this prestigious conference."

The four will next present their study at the National Athletic Trainers Association National Clinical Symposium June 28th through July 1st in Philadelphia.

Blair will also be presenting at the symposium, as he was selected to give a lecture on how athletic trainers can provide better care for their patients.
